Our Story

Bare Necessities Tour & Travel has grown from modest beginnings; a 36 passenger dive boat offering in 1991 - to four major cruise ship offerings in 1999, the largest of these having a capacity of 1500 passengers. By 2005 we sailed with 2050 passengers on the Carnival Legend and now, in 2013, the Carnival Freedom will sail for our "The Big Nude Boat" cruise with 3000 nudists!  

We try to never forget that although the emergence of clothing free vacationing as a legitimate specialty travel market has provided us with the opportunity to grow, it is offering quality products and services that have permitted us to turn opportunity into reality.

Our mission is to provide relaxing, entertaining and health-conscious vacation opportunities that offer non-threatening, natural environments where the appreciation, wonder and compatibility of nature and the unadorned human form can occur.

We also support the belief that sexuality is not a state of undress but rather a state of mind and that social nudity is not a sexual activity. We strive to dispel the misconception that nudity is sexually exploitative. Bare Necessities has worked diligently over the past twenty-one years to break down the walls of prejudice against social nude recreation. We have accomplished major goals for the acceptance of nude vacationing and our wide range of superior cruise charters reflects our success.
