The following tours will be operated by Star Clipper Cruises from Alexandria to Cairo and Luxor. Tour #1 and Tour #2 require advance reservations to be received no later than June 30th deadline . Full payment is due at the time reservations are made and is non-refundable. Tours are organized and operated by Star Clipper Cruise Lines or its independent contractors. Bare Necessities Tour & Travel is collecting payment for the tours and transferring payment to Star Clipper Cruises. If minimum number of tour participants is not met charges will not be incurred. Cairo Overnight tour

Day 1
You will leave Alexandria by coach and reach Cairo after a 3 hours drive. Upon arrival in Cairo you will visit the Pyramids and Sphinx. Then you will have a late lunch and will proceed to your hotel for check-in before being transferred to the Pyramids. Return to your 4*hotel, dinner and overnight. |
Day 2
After an early breakfast and check out, you will leave to Sakkara. You will visit the step pyramid of King Zoser, the first King of the third dynasty. Returning to Cairo, you will stop and visit the Citadel and Mohamed Ali Mosque.
After lunch, the tour continues with a stop at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, the most important depository of Egyptian antiquities anywhere in the world. Later you will return to Alexandria and enjoy a panoramic tour of the city before being returned to the ship. |

Day 1
You will leave Alexandria by coach and reach Cairo after a 3 hours drive. Arriving in Cairo you will visit the Pyramids and Sphinx. You will then proceed to Cairo airport for a one hour flight to Luxor. A box lunch will be offered on the way to the airport. After arriving in Luxor you will proceed to the temple of Luxor. You will then be transferred to your 4* hotel for check-in and dinner. |
Day 2
After a very early breakfast, you will check-out and cross the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank. Over 60 tombs of Pharaohs and noblemen have been found in this valley. From there you will proceed to Karnak temple. Afterwards you will be driven to the airport to catch the flight to Cairo. After lunch you will return to Alexandria and enjoy a panoramic tour of the city before being returned to the ship. |

This tour consists of a journey from Ancient Egypt to the Roman Empire and modern Alexandria. First you will visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shuquafa discovered in 1900. Comprised of three levels cut 90 feet deep into existing rock, the catacombs are accessed by a series of descending steps.*
Continuing to Pompey's Pillar, you will view the 82-foot red Aswan granite column constructed in honor of Emperor Diocletain. Later you will visit Alexandria's National Museum and the new Library of Alexandria. You will be taken for a comprehensive tour of the grounds of the library, including the museum, galleries, and the planetarium. On the way back to the port, you will pass by the Alexandria Library, the Citadel of Ouait bay, Abu el Abbas mosque and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
